COVID 19 PLAN Q& A
What is included in the plan?
It includes plans and systems for managing the prevention of infection; identification and isolation of sick or exposed persons; social distancing controls; thorough cleaning and disinfecting; and a clear communication plan for implementation and supervision of the plan(s).
How did you come up with this plan?
We based our plan on guidance from the Maine Center for Disease Control & Prevention, the CDC, OSHA and also with the help of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP).
Do I need a mask? Do you provide masks or sanitizer?
Yes. Everyone attending the photoshoot is required to wear a mask unless they are having makeup applied or are “on set” being photographed. We encourage everyone to bring their own mask to the shoot. If you don’t have a mask, we will supply you with one. Hand sanitizer will be readily available at shoot(s).
How will ‘Social Distancing’ be managed?
How does this apply to me?
Every shoot has a tailored workflow plan. Projects are limited to only essential crew and clients. Shoots are organized to assure the minimum number of people in any one area. We use virtual communication tools as necessary to reduce social exposure.
What other steps are you taking?
Extensive and thorough cleaning before and after every studio shoot. “High touch” surfaces are cleaned multiple times throughout the day. Frequent hand washing and use of hand sanitizer is required by all. The studio is professionally cleaned on a weekly basis and the studio building common high-touch areas are sanitized twice daily. Here are a list of other steps our building and studio have put in place:
- Twice-daily sanitizing of all high-touch surfaces in public “common” areas of building
- Hand sanitizing stations are now situated near the building entrance.
- Sanitizing wipes are provided near elevators.
- All electric hand dryers in restrooms are disabled, requiring use of paper towels
- All HVAC filters upgraded to MERV 13 filters
